Since 2020, Finhai has acted as CFO of Africa Data Centres. In May 2024, he has assumed the role of Interim CEO, ensuring smooth operations with his deep understanding of the business and strong relationships with partners and customers.

Finhai’s priority is to lead the group finance, procurement, and site selection functions at Africa Data Centres. His responsibilities include fundraising, investor & shareholder engagement, strategy execution, corporate expansion, site selection, and financial reporting; ensuring that we remain financially healthy.

Describing himself as an afro-optimist, Finhai has extensive expertise in capital raising, as well as origination, due diligence, valuation, structuring, execution and monitoring of debt and equity transactions across Africa.

Finhai joined Africa Data Centres in August 2020 from Deutsche Bank, where he was a Vice President in the bank’s emerging market Fixed Income and Currencies team, and responsible for providing clients with funding and risk management solutions. Previous roles have included Vice President at Liquid Africa and Private Equity Associate at the Musa Capital Group.

Finhai holds completed an Advanced Management Program with Columbia Business School in the US; and holds an MBA from Wits Business School, as well as a BCom (Hons) in Financial Analysis & Portfolio Management, and BCom PPE from the University of Cape Town. Finhai has completed Level 2 of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program.
